About Me
Jasminay – Counsellor & Wellbeing Practitioner in Camden and Online
Hello, I’m Jasminay Huda, a qualified counsellor and wellbeing practitioner.
For more than a decade, I have worked alongside people across London, supporting individuals through personal, family, cultural and life challenges. Much of my experience has involved working with people from diverse and Global Majority backgrounds and understanding the pressures that can come with caring for others, family expectations, relationships, work and everyday responsibilities.
Through this work, I have seen how easy it can be to put everyone else first while your own needs become secondary.

A significant part of my experience included supporting clients from diverse and Global Majority backgrounds, many of whom were navigating the pressures of cultural expectations, caring responsibilities, work commitments, and their own personal aspirations. Through this work, I saw how easy it can be to prioritise the needs of others while neglecting your own wellbeing.
This understanding ultimately led me into counselling, where I now offer a space for people to explore their experiences, reconnect with themselves, and move towards greater clarity, self-compassion, and wellbeing.
I work with people navigating experiences such as anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, stress, racism, prejudice and life-transitions that can sometimes feel overwhelming or hard to carry alone.
At the heart of this work is a deep respect for your story. You are not expected to have it all figured out. Therapy is a space where things can be spoken, explored, and understood without judgement. I am patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting you throughout your therapeutic journey. I also believe in working together to explore and address both your concerns and your aspirations, side by side.
Therapy Centred around You
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy because every person and every experience is unique.
My work is primarily person-centred, which means our sessions are guided by your needs, experiences, goals and pace. I aim to create a warm, supportive relationship where you feel comfortable speaking openly and exploring whatever is on your mind.
You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. We can begin exactly where you are, taking one step at a time.
A Holistic and Inclusive Approach
I work in a neurodiversity-affirming way, recognising that people think, communicate and experience the world in different ways.
I value the connection between emotional and physical wellbeing and, where appropriate, we can gently explore how your thoughts, feelings and life experiences may be reflected in both your mind and body.
Therapy is tailored to you, respecting your individuality and the way you experience the world.
Culture, faith and identity matter
You do not have to leave important parts of yourself at the door.
Your culture, faith, spirituality, values and personal beliefs are welcomed and respected within our work. Where these are meaningful to you, they can be explored as part of your therapeutic journey in a way that feels comfortable and appropriate.
I understand that identity can be complex, particularly when you are navigating different expectations, relationships, communities or ways of seeing the world.
A Space Without Judgement
Therapy is not about telling you what to do or trying to change who you are. It is about offering a confidential, compassionate space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted.
Together, we can explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences, helping you develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience and a deeper understanding of yourself. My role is to walk alongside you, supporting you as you move towards the changes that matter most to you.
If you feel ready to begin, I would be honoured to support you.

You can bring your Whole Self
For some people, therapy is easier when they feel that their background, culture, faith or personal values will be understood rather than explained or judged.
For others it may simply be important to work with someone who understands that family, caring responsibilities, identity, expectations and personal wellbeing can sometimes be closely connected.
My aim is to create a space where you can be yourself.
You can speak about what matters to you, at a pace that feels manageable, with someone who will listen with care and respect.
Sessions are available in English and Bengali (Sylheti).
